just took my tumblr following list from 29 to 16. just had to get rid of all that unnecessary info clogging my dashboard + my brain…starting to get to be too much for me. i don’t know how some people do it…they can read blogs all day long…but i sometimes feel like it just interferes with my creative juices; and i think that’s how you get a lot of imitators and not enough originators. at least when it comes to fashion. plus a lot of people i follow are blogging the SAME EXACT THING so i just eliminated the ones who never have any original thought…

and for this reason, i’ve been thinking of moving my blog back to blogspot. or even have a blog on my own website. cuz even though i reblog some things, i am getting tired of it. and not to be all negative, but i think that tumblr is a great place to get exposed to great things, and to get exposure too; the reblog button is a powerful tool i am thankful for. but as my premier blogging platform, i am beginning to rethink it. (i now realize why some people have both a blog and a tumblr blog.)

just thinking out loud to myself.

the more technology takes over my life, the more i unconsciously yearn for simpler days. i used to be just like drake-using my blackberry to jot down every little thing, including my daily to do list. but i have gone back to the conventional way of writing: a notebook + a pen. seems easier for some reason… the only problem with writing is when i am on the train writing like a mad woman + people are looking over my shoulder reading what i am writing; it happened today…it’s whatevs…but thinking about this topic made me think of this song by my boo q-tip + his former group a tribe called quest, pad + pen…

i finally changed my blog template! i hope u guys like it.

i must say i am very happy with it, though i am still tweaking it. i am becoming content with staying on tumblr. for now. lol

i just have too much to do. so i have enlisted a cool gal to do it for me. we won’t start working on it til aug/sept but i am super excited about it. AND it will have a shop attached to it, so u can either shop directly on my site, or my etsy store. by the way, i will be opening a new etsy store for my new clothing line but i will give u details when everything is set up.

and i have decided that i need to live close to trader joe’s and whole foods when i move to LA…

i am becoming a very boring blogger. :(

but part of it is that i am doing so much, sometimes i either forget or don’t have the time to blog. maybe i should hire bloggers like kanye does. but that shit is really wack if you ask me. lol

i think i am going to stick to do more of a photo blog cuz sometimes that tends to be easier than writing. and posting video too. but now i just have to remember to take pics/vids of things that are happening…argh!!!

from my mini vacation. it was cool. saw my grandma. she is doing very well after having 2 strokes in january. hung out with the fam. got sick at busch gardens. made a stupid video blog but am too lazy + busy to post it. but maybe tomorrow…

but i came back to SO MUCH WORK. but it feels wonderful!!! had a few orders before i left, got a few more while on vacation, + got a few more the day i came back. so i am kinda swamped right now. plus i am tryna put new dresses online this week. we will see what happens. lol

also, i just got word that 3 of my pieces were used for a mtv press photo shoot for a new show coming out. when i get more info + PICS (*wink, wink*) i will mos def let u know.

and i have been getting organized + will hopefully have a sales manager soon (cross yo’ fingers.)
